The aesthetics do not change, but new engines arrive: in addition to the methane version we are talking about here, the 2020 Skoda Octavia model will be available with two new petrol engines from the Volkswagen group. In the range enter the Skoda Octavia 1.5 TSI with 150 hp and the Skoda Octavia 2.0 TSI with 190 hp, which replace respectively the old 1.4 TSI and 1.8 TSI.
New Octavia Performance & Fuel Economy
The Octavia 1.5 TSI has the same power and torque values as the replacement version: 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque, but thanks to the adoption of the Miller cycle and the cylinder deactivation system promises to save up to 0, 4 l / 100 km. The Skoda Octavia 2.0 TSI instead develops 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque, for combined consumption of 6.0 l / 100 km in the new WLTP approval cycle. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.3 seconds, which makes the new Octavia 2.0 TSI faster than the current Octavia RS TDI of 6 tenths of a second.
2020 Skoda Octavia Release Date and Price
s for the rest of the range, the entry model will remain the 115 hp 3-cylinder Octavia 1.0 TSI, which together with the 1.6 TDI of the same power will also be available with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The automatic transmission with dual clutch and 7-speed also comes on the renewed Octavia 2.0 TDI, replacing the old 6-speed unit.
The power of 150 hp is unchanged. The Skoda Octavia with the new 1.5 TSI engine is already available on the two top versions, Executive and Style, with prices starting from 24.740 euros for the sedan with manual transmission; 26.340 euros for the sedan with 7-speed DSG and 1050 euros more for the respective station wagon versions. The date of arrival of the 2020 Skoda Octavia 2.0 TSI, which should cost € 2,400 more than the 1.5 TSI.
