In advance of the official debut, scheduled for the Geneva Motor Show 2019, the veils from the 2020 Mitsubishi ASX fall. This is a profound restyling, that of the compact SUV, which affects both the style and the equipment and the engines, but that should not change the external dimensions (now the length is 4.37 meters).
2020 Mitsubishi ASX Redesign
Outside, there is a redesigned front end, the latest incarnation of that Dynamic Shield that reinforces the family feeling with the other models of the brand. New is also the LED lights and the rear fascia, with a lower protection (skid plate) updated, while in the catalog come in three new colors for the body.
Interior – Update The Infotainment & Safety System
Inside The New ASX Model stands out a new infotainment Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA) with the increased display, which 7-inch passes to 8 inches, and TomTom navigator with real-time traffic information. Another novelty is an app to connect the car to the smartphone and receive information on the status of the vehicle.
Among the driver assistance systems, automatic emergency braking makes their debut (with the function of reducing the severity of impacts, not avoiding them), blind spot monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which prevents accidents when you leave the parking areas in reverse.
New Mitsubishi ASX Specs
As we anticipated, Mitsubishi decided to abandon the diesel engines and here under the bonnet of the new Mitsubishi ASX 2020 we find only 4-cylinder petrol aspirated 2.0-liter, which should develop 150 hp and 195 Nm of torque.
Available both with front-wheel drive and 4×4 versions, the new Mitsubishi will be offered with a 5-speed manual transmission or with an automatic CVT transmission. The latter can also be used in manual mode with a Sports Mode program that imitates a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
