The 2019 Toyota 4Runner has been announced since 2018 at the Chicago Auto Show. It announced that the vehicle will be more capable as the popular off-road SUV. This announcement is no surprise as some has speculated that the 4Runner will have its latest version since the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro had received its redesign two years ago. Both Toyota has similarities, especially at front suspension components.
2019 Toyota 4Runner Redesign
The car has changed on the shock absorbers. The Bilstein is switched to internal-bypass shocks of Fox 2.5-inch. Actually, the Bilstein was great shock absorbers, but it cannot crank the damping force up as the suspension stroked to its limit. Meanwhile, the Fox is able to turn such shock into smooth wheel motion for a more comfortable ride. The new suspension makes the car 1 inch higher. Aside from this one aspect of suspension, other suspension aspects are not very different with the previous version. The 4Runner TDR gets a wider track to improve the stability.
There are changes on the interior of 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD pro. The integrated navigation and JBL premium audio system is now a standard, not an optional. So you will get this feature as you buy the vehicle. Then, the cabin has TDR logo in some areas for example on the mats, shift knob and on the Softex faux-leather seats. It gives the familiar look of the TRD that will be also delivered to the viewers of your car.
2019 Toyota 4Runner is popular because it has the ability to carry a bunch of people lets alone the stuff both in the cabin and on the roof rack. Even though it is carrying a bunch of people and stuff, the car can still maintain a comfortable riding for the passengers.
On the outside, there is TDR expedition-style roof rack to store your camping gear of bags. Midnight Black Metallic, Super White, and Voodoo Blue are the available 2019 Toyota 4Runner Concept Colors. Furthermore, the Voodoo Blue is available exclusively for TDR Pro. The front of the car is equipped with LED fog lights, projector-beam headlights, and Blacked-out front grille.
New 4Runner Engine Specs
Under the hood, there is 4.0-liter V-6 engine equipped with the five-speed automatic transmission. The transmission proves that the car maintains its classic feel. The engine is strong enough to produce 270 horsepower with the torque of 278 pound-feet as it is matched with the ancient transmission.
2019 Toyota 4Runner Release Date and Price
For the release date, it is expected to be released in next fall as it goes the same with Tundra and 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro which have similarities with the Toyota 4Runner in some parts. As it is not announced yet, the price for the 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro is still in mystery. However, it is safe to assume that the price may not be so much different from the 2018 edition. The price will start at $52,920 without freight and delivery charges.
Those are the 2019 Toyota 4Runner specs and redesigns. The car has some redesigns on some parts but still, keep the best part of the previous edition.
